Biomechanical and neuromuscular responses to movement evoked knee osteoarthritis joint pain

This abstract has open access
Abstract Summary
A causal relationship between pain and gait alterations in knee osteoarthritis (OA) is often implied in the cross sectional studies, however evidence of a casual relationship between pain and gait mechanics in the literature is limited. We have explored the motor system response to acute exacerbations of pain in OA to begin probing how pain may lead to mobility deficits and progression of symptomatic OA.
