Imaging approaches to quantifying spinal pathomechanics

This abstract has open access
Abstract Summary
Recent developments in medical imaging allow for the non-invasive assessment of intervertebral disc properties (biochemical and biomechanical) and spinal arthrokinematics through the use of quantitative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and biplane radiography, respectively. This talk will highlight these advancements, with work from our lab and others, and discuss the integration of pathomechechanical knowledge into clinical practice.
