How the interdisciplinary nature of biomechanics positions us to tackle the problem of spine dysfunction and low back pain

Abstract Summary
Low back pain (LBP) is often researched from isolated points of view, but real advancements in understanding require multidisciplinary perspectives. Biomechanics is an essential element of this, but requires careful integration with other disciplines. Here I highlight the utility of this approach and recent advancements it has enabled, and how it can be fostered by societies like the CSB and ISB.
