Abstract Summary
Objective: To investigate the effects of different vibration amplitudes combined with the unstable surface from four to eight weeks of training on the single leg balance ability. Methods: Sixteen college gymnasts were randomly assigned to a high-amplitude 4mm group (High) and a low-amplitude 2mm group (Low). The participants performed eight weeks of vibration training. The balance tests were conducted after four, six and eight weeks of training on the force plate (1000 Hz), and Two-way ANOVA was performed to test the difference in training time and amplitude. Results: No significant difference was found between training time and vibration amplitudes. Conclusion: The short-term or long-term combine with different amplitudes of vibration on unstable surface training do not improve the balance ability of college gymnasts.
