Inter-limb sharing of total leg stiffness during weight transfer of gait in children with spastic hemiplegic cerebral palsy

This abstract has open access
Abstract Summary
Inter-limb leg stiffness changes during weight transfer of gait were used to uncover the body support strategies of children with hemiplegic cerebral palsy (HCP). Compared to controls, children with HCP showed greater stiffness sharing on the sound side both during weight release and weight acceptance, suggesting a strategy for decreasing affected side stiffness sharing.
