Effect of arch-support insole on knee biomechanics during a running stop-jump task

Abstract Summary
This study examined the effect of arch-support insole on knee joint biomechanics during stop-jumping. Thirty university basketball players performed stop-jump task in two insole conditions (arch-support and flat). The present results revealed that athletes wearing arch-support insole experienced larger peak proximal tibia anterior shear force and peak knee adduction and external rotation moments compared with flat control insoles.
