Abstract Summary
In recent years many efforts have been done to describe the hemodynamic in intracranial aneurysms, and how it is related to the origin and growth of this cerebrovascular disorder. Numerical simulation has become a widely used tool for the study of hemodynamic; employing idealized and realistic geometries, as well as different boundary conditions. However, it is still under discussion the effects of secondary arteries on the flow characteristics in the aneurysms. In the present work, an analysis to determine the influence that secondary arteries have on the flow characteristics in an aneurysm is carried out, as well as the importance of digitally cutting the small arteries to perform numerical simulations of hemodynamics
