Maximal running shoes affect lower extremity stiffness before and after a six week acclimation period

This abstract has open access
Abstract Summary
This Study compared leg, ankle, and knee stiffness during running between a maximal and traditional shoe before and after a 6-week acclimation period to maximal shoes. Leg stiffness was significantly higher in the maximal shoes, while ankle stiffness was significantly higher in the traditional shoe.
