Low cost video motion capture system

This abstract has open access
Abstract Summary
University of Colorado Colorado Springs students have developed a low-cost video tracking software system for use in biomechanical applications. The objective was to provide an alternative to expensive cameras and force plates to the general community for calculating ground reactions forces (GRF), joint forces, torques and power. The only equipment needed is a modern smartphone (or similar camera) and a computer.
