Cross-sectional validation of inertial measurement unit for estimating trunk kinematics during treadmill disturbances

Abstract Summary
Inertial measurement units (IMU) are used to estimate trunk kinematics. This study demonstrates that a commercially available Kalman filter is a valid method for estimating trunk flexion kinematics during the rapid and abrupt accelerations and decelerations that occur during fall prevention training.
