Application of an automated infrared-assisted trunk accelerometer-based gait analysis system in chronic stroke patient

Abstract Summary
This aim of this study is to use an infrared-assisted trunk accelerometer-based gait analysis system to real-time investigate and compare gait quality of chronic stroke patient with healthy participants in the teaching hospital. Compared with heathy participants, walking speed, cadence, step length, and trunk movement were significantly lower in stroke patients. In the sagittal plane, trunk movement symmetry and regularity decreased dramatically in the vertical direction.
