The influence of impingement pain on kinematics in breast cancer survivors during functional task performance

Abstract Summary
Upper limb kinematics may reflect the higher rate of rotator cuff injuries in breast cancer survivors (BCS) after treatment. Motion of BCS and controls was evaluated during functional tasks (FTs). BCS with impingement pain demonstrated lower scapular upward rotation, humeral abduction, and humeral internal rotation during select tasks. These compensations may relate to rotator cuff disease (RCD) and provide insight into possible RCD development in this population.
