Objectives: • Provide a high-level overview of the overall picture of the FP financing landscape and ecosystem • Create a baseline level of understanding for the community to engage in subsequent follow up sessions and conversations on financing • Share positive stories of resilience and the community’s collective action in response to gaps in the financing ecosystem Session Format: 1. Presentation of Updated FP Data Story (20 minutes) 2. Panel discussion (60 minutes) Presentation Description: Following the announcement of seismic shifts in U.S. policy, a group of data leaders from RHSC, Avenir Health, FP2030, Guttmacher, JSI, KFF, and UNFPA came together to help the community quantify the impacts and resulting gaps in family planning (FP) financing that were created. This presentation will share an updated roadmap, which lays out the different categories of impacts across the total landscape of donor funding for global health and SRHR, down to the programmatic and health system components that support family planning service delivery, with a specific emphasis on how this funding relates to commodity procurement. This presentation will discuss overall trends and changes in the financing and policy environment and how they affect different levels of the ecosystem and ultimately, impact the lives of women, girls, and families. Discussion Format Description: Immediately following the presentation, a panel of speakers will share their reflections from each of their unique perspectives, shedding light on both the challenges they are facing with FP financing as well as their actions in response to these changes.
