Abstract Summary
In order to analyze the golf swing, it is necessary to judge the point of the backswing top and the impact, and to divide the swing section. In this study, we propose a method that estimates each point in golf swing using only single sensor at various parts of the body and compares it with the most accurate method. Four adult male subjects mounted an inertial sensor on their head, waist, and wrist and swung five times with a driver and an iron, respectively. From the acceleration and angular velocity data collected from the sensor, the backswing top and impact time were estimated based on the peak, zero crossing, local minimum, and local maxima time points. The impact time was 0.02 seconds on the wrist H1, The error was 0.041 sec in head Hx. Based on the single swing sensor based golf swing point estimation method proposed in this study,
