Prospective frontal plane angles predict acl strain and identify those who will injure their acl in sport

Abstract Summary
In sim approaches that integrate in vivo, in vitro, and in silico techniques to optimize healthcare strategies can accelerate medical advances. The present study shows that frontal plane in vivo knee kinematics identify those at risk for anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury; and, when combined with in vitro injury simulation data, can also accurately predict ACL strain levels during athletic tasks.
