Abstract Summary
Second anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries occur in about 29% of patients following return to sport. Asymmetric movement patterns are associated with second ACL injury risk during landing. A negative psychological response during recovery has been associated with decreased gait symmetry. This study demonstrates that a negative psychological response is also associated with decreased symmetry during landing in measures associated with second ACL injury risk.
