The effect of different and modified foot progression angle on patellofemoral pain related factors

Abstract Summary
Patellofemoral pain is a common lower extremity disorders among people who engage in running activities. Twenty healthy male participants were selected with various foot progression angles during running. Their kinetics and kinematics associated with patellofemoral pain during habitual and modified foot progression angles of running gait were compared. Different habitual foot progression angle did not affect these patellofemoral pain factors. Modifying foot progression angle may change kinetics and kinematics associated with patellofemoral pain.
