Abstract Summary
Subscapularis repair in Reverse Shoulder Arthroplasty is controversial and recent studies showed that it can decrease post-operative clinical scores when used with lateralized glenospheres. In this study a musculoskeletal model was used to investigate how glenosphere lateralization and subscapularis attachment point can affect moment arm and length. Results showed that excessive lateralization should be avoided when SSc is repaired in RSA and also suggested that a superior repair attachment can improve its biomechanical function.
