Ideo work reliance increases after functional training

Abstract Summary
With prescription of a carbon-fiber Intrepid Dynamic Exoskeletal Orthosis (IDEO), patients receive specialized functional training. Presumably, this increases the capacity to perform work in the brace and decreases demand in the remaining lower extremity constituents. By looking at the absolute brace work in proportion to absolute lower extremity work, this abstract attempts to quantify the benefit to the lower extremity as brace work increases. Initial results indicate reliance may exist, but adaptation strategies may differ.
