Weight- and inertia-related effects of training on muscle properties: a simulation study

This abstract has open access
Abstract Summary
Using a Hill-type neuromuscular model we simulate squat jumps with different additional masses under the influence of different gravitational accelerations. Applying sensitivity analysis and the idea that training will improve the performance along the gradient of a performance function, we show the difference between inertia- and weight-type training on the muscle properties.
